The Roe Report was a weekly look at reproductive rights news (mostly, but not exclusively, in the U.S.).

I started the newsletter in October of 2019, just after the U.S. Supreme Court announced it would hear oral arguments in a pivotal lawsuit that could reshape abortion in America, and precipitate the undoing of Roe v. Wade.

The newsletter tracked legislation, lawsuits and other reproductive rights news from across the country. It was the only weekly reproductive rights newsletter of it’s kind when it was launched.

Each week, I also explored a key element of that Supreme Court case—June Medical Services v. Russo (formerly v. Gee)—breaking down the legal arguments and the circumstances underlying the case.

The newsletter was premised on the view that, given the make-up of the Supreme Court — and especially while the Republican Party held onto the Senate and/or White House — the US was entering a crucial era of abortion and reproductive health legislation and legal battles.
